Welcome 2010!

2009 was a great year full of joy and happiness, growth and healing. I had a baby, he has been such a good baby. He got his two bottom teeth and has started getting his top two. He just started to walk in December which has been such a joy to watch! I had my gallbladder out last April, thank goodness for the support of a wonderful mother-in-law that dropped everything and came to our aid. Thank you so much. My parents returned from their mission and it is so great having them home and spending Christmas with them. A new year brings excitement! Joel has begun student teaching at Flagstaff High School. Everyday I ask him, "how was your day?" and he says, "it was a really good day." It is so nice to hear that. My boys are growing so fast. Preston started sunbeams this year and I ask him if he likes it and he says,"yep!" So I hope he continues to do so well. He has been potty training as well and with that comes trials. We are dealing with the slow process. Joel graduates in May in Choral Music Education and with that I hope and pray he can find his dream job. We have been really blessed living here among great neighbors and great friends and we will miss it. I hope wherever we go it will bring as much happiness and fun. Be good to us 2010!

Unexpected

Well, we got our first big snow on Monday. It snowed all day long into the night. It said on the news we got 26-28 inches. It has been fun to see that much snow, but hard to get around. I posted some pics below.
Ethan started to take his first steps this week! He has taken about seven steps in a row without falling, so it is exciting! I just thought I would post a couple pictures of them from Halloween and the last couple months.

It's a Beauty Mate!

Preston is watching "Finding Nemo" right now so that is where I got the title to my blog post. It is such a great movie for kids. I love it!
Well, Halloween came and went and so did Thanksgiving. I can't believe it.
Today I bought some Christmas gifts for the kids, the game Candyland, which was only $5, and the cutest little boots for Ethan. I was thrilled with my purchases. I get so giddy about this time of the year. I feel like a little kid trying to decide what to get Preston and then anticipating the day when he can open them and I can see his face light up with excitement.
This month of December is magical for me. I love the lights that are on houses that light up the night sky, and the memorable movies and carols that bring back joyful memories of childhood and past Christmas'. The most important focus for me is the feelings of love and service for my fellow man, and the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ and the gift of his life for me. I look forward to all these things....
